Ingredients

  • 1 onion (s)
  • 500 g round beef
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 1 tablespoon breadcrumbs
  • 1 salt and pepper, black
  • 1 bell pepper (s), red, yellow, green
  • 6 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 125 ml pineapple juice
  • 125 ml broth
  • 2 tablespoon vinegar
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce, dark
  • 2 tablespoon sugar, brown
  • 100 g pineapple pieces
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoon water

Instructions

  1. Peel and finely chop the onions. Mix the meat, onion, egg and breadcrumbs together. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Then form small balls out of the meat dough.
  2. Clean, wash and core the peppers, then cut into fine strips.
  3. Heat the oil in the wok and fry the meatballs all around for 1 - 2 minutes until crispy and brown. Add the peppers and stir-fry for 2 minutes. Add the pineapple juice, broth, vinegar, soy sauce and sugar and stir for 5 minutes. Add the pineapple cubes and cook for another 2 minutes. Mix the cornstarch with the water until smooth and add to the meatballs, bring to the boil again and serve hot.
  4. Rice goes well with it.
