Ingredients

  • 750 g wild boar, or deer, from the le
  • 250 g liver (s), from pork
  • 5 juniper berries
  • 300 g bacon, fat
  • 200 g onion (s)
  • 1 roll
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 teaspoon marjoram
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 3 glasses schnapps (juniper)

Instructions

  1. Dice the game meat and liver and let it steep in juniper schnapps and juniper berries for 3 hours.
  2. Dice 100 g bacon and onions. Then turn the game meat and liver through the meat grinder. Soak the rolls, add them and season.
  3. Cut the remaining bacon into slices. Line the baking dish with it. Pour in the meat batter. Cover with the remaining bacon slices. Place the bay leaves in the middle.
  4. Bake at 200 ° C for approx. 75 minutes. First cover with aluminum foil. Bake for the last 10 minutes without aluminum foil.
  5. Serve the game pie cold.
