Preheat the oven to 180 ° C to 200 ° C. Finely grate the apple.
Mix the sugar, eggs, softened butter, milk, vanilla sugar and the grated apple. Add flour and baking powder and briefly fold in. Finally add the sliced almonds and a pinch of cinnamon. Pour the batter into prepared muffin cups.
Put in the hot oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes.
The batter should be enough for 16 muffins (if not more). Caution: Do not fill the molds too full - otherwise the dough will overflow during baking.
