Ingredients

  • 500 g strawberries
  • 60 g suar
  • 75 grams sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 50 grams flour
  • 50 g cornstarch
  • liter ⅛ sour cream
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 2 egg whites
  • Butter for the mold
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Wash and drain the strawberries, then remove the stems and sprinkle with 60 g of sugar. Cover and let stand for about 30 minutes. If the strawberries have a really good taste and are nice and sweet, sugaring is not necessary.
  2. In the meantime, stir in the remaining sugar and egg yolks for the dough until frothy. Mix the flour and cornstarch and add the sour cream to the sugar and egg yolk mixture. The dough must be thick and flowing. Add salt and vanilla sugar. Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold into the batter.
  3. Drain the strawberries well and fold them loosely into the batter. Grease an ovenproof dish and pour in the batter. Bake everything in the preheated oven for about 35 minutes at 200 ° C. Dust with powdered sugar just before serving.
