Ingredients

  • 1 liter milk
  • 150 g roats, (barley roats)
  • 100 g raisins, soaked in water
  • 2 apples, (Boskop) peeled and chopped
  • 100 g butter
  • 2 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 5 tablespoon cane sugar
  • 200 g cream
  • 1 pinch (s) salt

Instructions

  1. Heat the milk to boiling over medium-high heat. Add the barley groats while stirring constantly for about 2 minutes. Add the raisins, apples, and a pinch of salt. Remove from heat and let rest for about 10 minutes until the mixture thickens and is no longer liquid.
  2. Stir the butter into the warm groats.
  3. Mix the cinnamon with the cane sugar. Pour the cream over the warm groats and stir in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
