Ingredients

  • 1 liter milk
  • 150 g roats, (barley roats)
  • 100 g raisins, soaked in water
  • 2 apples, (Boskop) peeled and chopped
  • 100 g butter
  • 2 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 5 tablespoon cane sugar
  • 200 g cream
  • 1 pinch (s) salt

Instructions

  1. Bring the milk to the boil, then pour in the grits (stirring constantly). Then add the raisins, apples and a pinch of salt. Take the pot off the stove and let it swell until the mixture is no longer liquid.
  2. Stir the butter into the groats.
  3. Mix the sugar with the cinnamon and pour the liquid cream over the prepared, still warm groats.
  4. My children love to eat this!
