Ingredients

  • 2 bell pepper (s), (red)
  • 2 large carrots, (grated)
  • 1 small onion (s)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 tablespoon sunflower seeds
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar (e.g. elderflower or raspberry)
  • 2 tablespoon sunflower oil
  • salt and pepper
  • sugar
  • Lemon juice
  • some mustard
  • Chives, if desired

Instructions

  1. Peel the peppers with the peeler and cut into small cubes.
  2. Peel and grate the carrots. Peel the onions and finely dice them.
  3. Put the diced onions in a bowl, add salt, pepper, crushed garlic clove, soy sauce, mustard, sugar, lemon juice, vinegar and oil and stir vigorously. Mix in the bell pepper, carrots and sunflower seeds. Finally refine with a little chives.
  4. Let the salad stand for about 1/2 hour before eating.
