Ingredients

  • 8 Chicken Breast Schnitzel
  • 1 glass chilli pepper (s), (jalapenos)
  • 120 g cheese, (Gouda) in one piece
  • 75 g breadcrumbs
  • 75 g parmesan, rated
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon ¼ cumin
  • 8 tablespoon butter, melted
  • Crème fraîche
  • Sauce, (Mexican tomato salsa)

Instructions

  1. If necessary, beat the schnitzel and cut the jalapenos into pieces. Cut the cheese into 8 thin pieces, approx. 1 cm wide and 4 cm long (depending on the schnitzel size). Place a piece of cheese and a few jalapenos on each schnitzel, roll up and secure with a toothpick. Mix the breadcrumbs with the parmesan, chili powder and cumin. Pull the rolls through the melted butter and then roll them in the breadcrumb mixture. Then place the rolls in a baking dish and sprinkle with the remaining butter. Let rest for about 4 hours or overnight. Bake in the preheated oven at approx. 180 ° for 45 minutes.
  2. Serve the rolls with salsa and / or crème fraîche.
