Ingredients

For the Bifteki:

  • 500 g round beef
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 1 medium onion (s), finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, pressed
  • 2 tablespoon gyros spice
  • 1 teaspoon paprika powder, noble sweet
  • 1 teaspoon paprika powder, hot pink
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Maggi
  • 1 slice / n toast bread
  • 100 g sheep cheese

For the rice:

  • 500 g rice
  • 1 onion (s), chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 500 ml tomato (s), passed
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • salt and pepper
  • 4 teaspoons gyros spice
  • 8 teaspoons vegetable stock, instant

Instructions

  1. Mix all the ingredients for the Bifteki in a container and let it steep.
  2. For the rice, sauté the onions and garlic in a saucepan with olive oil. Stir in tomato paste. Add the tomatoes and sugar and let simmer for 10 minutes. Add the spices. Cook the rice in about 2 liters of vegetable stock. Then mix the rice with the tomato sauce.
  3. Shape the minced meat mixture into minced steaks and fry in a pan with olive oil. Serve with the tomato rice.
