Ingredients

  • 1 kg sauerkraut
  • 1 large onion (s)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup sweet cream
  • 0.25 liter ¼ wine, white (Riesling)
  • 1 tablespoon paprika powder, noble sweet
  • 2 chilli pepper (s)

Instructions

  1. Chop the onion and garlic into tiny pieces, remove the seeds from the chilli and also cut into tiny pieces - very important. Squeeze out the sauerkraut. Sauté the onion and garlic in butter, add the paprika powder and stir well! Then stir in the chilli, slightly loosely pick the sauerkraut and add - deglaze with cream and white wine. Simmer over medium heat for 40 minutes with the lid closed. Then season with pepper from the mill, a little salt and butter - possibly a little more liquid (cream or wine).
