Chicken Casserole

Delicious minced chicken and chicken liver casserole. Something like chicken sausage. This is my second option. The first casserole was made from minced liver and chicken fillet in pieces. It turned out delicious, but not very photogenic. The liver has one unpleasant property – when finished, it may have a greenish tint in places. This does not affect the taste. Liver pieces are more resistant to discoloration.
Ingredients
- Minced chicken – 650 g
- Chicken liver – 350 g
- Onions – 1 pc.
- Garlic – 2 cloves
- Egg – 1 pc.
- Salt
- Ground black pepper
- Seasoning for chicken
- Stale white bread – 2 slices
- Milk for soaking bread – 150 ml
- Mold oil
- Hard cheese – 75 g
Directions
- Instead of bread, I took 150g of the leftover wheat porridge.
- Wash the liver, remove the films, and cut into 1.5 cm pieces. Season with salt and pepper. Add finely chopped onion, crushed garlic, egg, soaked and pressed bread (porridge), salt, pepper, seasoning to the minced meat. Mix well. Add the liver and mix thoroughly again. The minced meat with the liver should merge so that there are no air bubbles between them.
- Line a baking dish with foil so that one edge hangs down. Grease with oil (olive) and put the prepared mixture in it. Cover with foil and place in the oven preheated to 180 C for 1 hour.
- After an hour, remove the chicken casserole, open the foil and turn the casserole onto a baking sheet. Remove the foil, and sprinkle with finely grated cheese on the casserole. Place the chicken casserole in the oven for 20-25 minutes.
- Allow chicken casserole to cool and cut into slices.
