Ingredients

  • 2 chicken legs, each approx. 350 - 400 g
  • 2 tablespoon coconut oil, creamy condition, otherwise more
  • Himalayan salt or sea salt
  • Pepper, whiter
  • Paprika powder, noble sweet, smoked

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F). Prepare a baking dish or deep baking sheet.
  2. Wash the chicken legs well and pat dry with kitchen paper. Season generously with salt and pepper, then rub with smoked paprika powder to taste. Place in the baking dish.
  3. Melt the coconut oil over medium heat for 1-2 minutes in a small pan. Use a kitchen brush to coat the top of the chicken legs with the oil.
  4. Place the baking dish in the oven and roast for 45 minutes. Turn the chicken legs and brush with the oil from the dish every 15 minutes. Season with additional paprika powder if desired during cooking.
  5. Serve when the chicken legs reach an internal temperature of 74°C (165°F) at the thickest part of the thigh.
