Christmas Log with Bananas

New Year’s log with bananas is a new version of the traditional French dessert. Chocolate sponge cake, cream cheese cream, and light banana aroma create a perfect flavor combination. Cooking this New Year’s cake will not take much time, and if you do not make a festive decor, such a roll can also be prepared for family tea drinking.

Ingredients

  • 3 squirrels
  • 6 tablespoon. l. sugar
  • 3 yolks
  • 140 g flour
  • 3 tablespoon. l. cocoa powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 large ripe bananas
For the cream:
  • 2 tablespoon. l. flour
  • 200 ml milk
  • 1 egg
  • 500 g cream cheese
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla sugar
  • 5 tablespoon. l. icing sugar

Directions

  1. Whisk the whites with 3 tbsp sugar into a persistent foam.
  2. Whisk the yolks with 3 tbsp sugar into a lush foam.
  3. Combine flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder. Gently, with a spatula, mix the protein and flour mass, gradually add the yolks. Place the dough on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake at 210 ° C for 7 minutes.
  4. For the filling, sift 2 tbsp flour in a saucepan. Pour in 200 ml of milk and heat, stirring constantly, until a pasty consistency. Remove from heat, cool slightly and add egg, stir. Let cool completely.
  5. Whisk the cooled cream cheese mixture at room temperature. Pour in vanilla sugar, icing sugar, stir.
  6. Apply a thin layer of cream to the biscuit. Peel the bananas and place whole along the long edge of the dough. Roll up the roll gently. Brush the roll with the remaining cream and decorate to your liking. Put the log in the refrigerator to soak and harden for at least 3 hours.
