Ingredients

For the dough:

  • 70 grams flour
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ cinnamon powder
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 egg (s)
  • 150 ml milk
  • Oil, for frying

For the sauce:

  • 250 ml milk
  • 1 vanilla pod (s)
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoon sugar

Instructions

  1. Crepes:
  2. Mix the flour, salt, cinnamon powder, sugar and eggs to a smooth dough. Gradually stir in the milk. Allow to swell for 10 minutes.
  3. Stir the dough well again and bake 8 thin crêpes out of it in a pan (20 cm diameter) with a little oil.
  4. Vanilla sauce:
  5. Bring the vanilla pod pulp to the boil in 200 ml milk. Mix the remaining milk, egg yolks, sugar and cornstarch and stir into the boiling vanilla milk. Bring to the boil again and then remove from the stove. Always stir well so that nothing burns.
  6. Vanilla ice cream with cherries tastes great with it!
