- 200 ml cream
- 500 ml milk
- 1 vanilla pod (s)
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 egg (s)
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch

- Separate the eggs and scrape the pulp from the vanilla pod. Bring the cream, milk and the vanilla pulp to a boil in a saucepan. Mix the sugar with the egg yolks and the cornstarch and stir carefully into the boiling cream mixture. Bring to the boil once and pour through a sieve.
