Cook the pasta in plenty of salted water according to the instructions on the packet.
Peel and chop the tomatoes and place in a bowl with the juice of the tomatoes. Crush the garlic, basil and chilli flakes with a pinch of salt in a blender and mix with the olive oil to form a creamy paste. Now mix the tomatoes and the garlic paste together.
Drain the pasta (save a few spoons of the pasta water) and place in a bowl; Add the grated cheese and pour the pasta water over it.
Mix the pasta with the sauce and sprinkle with the remaining cheese before serving.
