Ingredients

  • 750 g flour, (wheat flour)
  • 2 egg (s)
  • 125 g butter, soft or mararine
  • 125 g suar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 1 packet yeast, (dry yeast)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 300 ml coconut milk, warm
  • 1 pack desiccated coconut, (approx. 200 gr.)
  • 300 g chocolate, white
  • 24 almond (s)
  • 1 tube food coloring, red
  • 200 g marzipan raw mixture
  • 1 packet raisins

Instructions

  1. Sieve the flour, make a well in the middle and knead with the eggs, butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, yeast, salt and the warm coconut milk to form a smooth dough.
  2. Let the dough rise in a warm place for at least an hour until the volume has doubled. Knead well again.
  3. Shape the dough 24 into balls the size of a table tennis ball and place in 2 lightly greased muffin baking tins. Let it rise there for another half an hour.
  4. Bake the yeast muffins at approx. 200 - 220 degrees for 25 minutes and allow to cool.
  5. Melt the white chocolate over a water bath and coat the muffins with it. Before the chocolate dries, sprinkle the muffins generously with the desiccated coconut.
  6. Color the marzipan with the red color (knead well) and roll out the marzipan mixture with a rolling pin to a thickness of approx. 3 mm.
  7. Now cut 2 cm wide strips from the marzipan mixture with a sharp knife and cut them out on one side like a cockscomb.
  8. Knead the remaining marzipan mixture back together, roll it out and cut out the feet with a knife.
  9. Take the muffins out of the mold, stick 2 feet under the muffin, place the comb in the middle of the muffin, press an almond into the dough parallel to the cock`s comb (is the beak of the chicken) and put 2 raisins on the left and right above the almond Set eyes.
