  • 80 g butter
  • 280 g suar
  • 180 g flour
  • 1 pinch (s) baking powder
  • 5 egg (s)
  • 500 g quark
  • 1 cup oil
  • 1 packet custard powder, vanilla
  • 0.5 liter ½ milk

Instructions

  1. Kneaded dough:
  2. Put 80 g sugar, 80 g butter, 180 g flour, 1 pinch of baking powder, 1 egg, 1 yolk in a bowl and knead well with a dough hook. Then fill the kneading dough into a springform pan (as a cake base and pull up about 1 cm edge)
  3. Quark mass:
  4. Mix 2 eggs, 1 yolk and 150 g sugar until frothy. Add the pudding powder, oil and quark and stir well. Finally add the milk.
  5. Pour the quark mixture over the cake base into the springform pan and bake at 160-170 degrees for about 60 minutes on the lowest setting.
  6. Beat 2 egg whites with 50 g sugar until stiff. After the cake is baked, spread this egg whites on the hot cake and bake for another 10 minutes at the same temperature (160-170 degrees).
  7. Let the cake cool down and take it out of the springform pan.
  8. The cake is called teardrop cake because, as it cools, caramelized sugar tears form on the egg-snow hood.
