An unusual version of scrambled eggs is an egg-white pancake with melted cheese and yolk. Just a few minutes to prepare, an interesting result will delight you with both taste and appetizing appearance. Try it!
Servings: 1
Ingredients
Egg – 1 pcs.
Milk – 50 ml
Potato or corn starch – 1.5 teaspoon (4 g)
Hard cheese – 30 g
Salt to taste
Ground black pepper – to taste
Vegetable oil (for frying) – 1 teaspoon
Fresh parsley (for garnish, optional) – 1 sprig
Directions
Carefully separate the egg white from the yolk. Grate the cheese on a fine or medium grater. Combine egg white and milk in a separate container. Add salt and ground black pepper. Shake with a fork or whisk.
Add starch. Stir well to dissolve the starch completely.
Preheat a skillet over slightly low heat and brush with vegetable oil. Pour the protein-milk mixture into the pan and spread it over the bottom in a thin, even layer. Fry the protein pancake for 30-60 seconds for the mixture to set and brown around the edges.
Then press lightly on the protein pancake to form a square diamond with a space in the center. Fill the space in the center of the pancake with grated cheese. Place the egg yolk on top of the cheese.
Reduce heat to low and cook for about 1 to 2 minutes more until cheese is melted and the yolk is cooked to the desired degree. Lightly salt the yolk if desired.
Unusual egg pancake with cheese is ready. Serve it to the table, garnish with herbs. Enjoy your meal!
