Ingredients

For the ground:

  • 150 grams flour
  • 75 grams sugar
  • 75 g mararine
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ baking powder
  • Fat for the shape

For the filling:

  • 500 g quark
  • 500 ml milk
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 1 cup oil
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 1 packet custard powder (vanilla flavor)
  • 150 grams sugar

For the meringue topping:

  • 3 egg whites
  • 4 tablespoon sugar

Instructions

  1. Mix the ingredients for the base together and place in a greased springform pan (26 or 28 cm diameter). Mix the ingredients together for the filling (I only use 480 - 490 ml of the milk) and pour on the bottom. The filling is very liquid, but that`s correct.
  2. Place the cake in the preheated oven (200 ° C) and bake for about 45 - 50 minutes. The surface should be light brown.
  3. Shortly before the end of the baking time, beat the 3 egg whites with the sugar until stiff. After the baking time, spread the stiff egg white mixture on the cake and put it back in the stove.
  4. When the surface turns slightly brown (after approx. 3 - 5 minutes), you can turn off the stove and use the residual heat. Please let the cake cool completely in the stove.
