Ingredients

  • 3 kg apples, mainly garden apples or windfalls
  • 2 pear (s), very ripe
  • 2 lemon (s)
  • 2 orange (s)
  • 1 mango (s), ripe
  • 1 ginger, fresh, (2-4 cm thick)
  • 2 packs vanilla sugar, vanilla flavor or the pulp a vanilla pod
  • 150 ml water

Instructions

  1. The ingredients and their quantities are guidelines and can be varied as required.

  9. When everything is soft, put the porridge in a large kitchen sieve and pound through with a pounder until only the shells are left.
  10. Let the puree simmer again briefly and immediately fill into glasses.
  11. If you want to save yourself the work of pounding, peel the apples before cooking and continue as I described in the recipe.
  12. When everything is done, just puree with the hand blender and fill into glasses immediately.
  13. This applesauce is quite sweet, depending on which type of apple you use. If you want to sweeten it, you should do it shortly before consumption.
