  • 2 kiwi (s)
  • 1 orange (s)
  • 1 lime (s)
  • 1 carambola (s)
  • 1 pineapple
  • 150 g physalis
  • 300 g suar
  • 700 ml rum, white, (at least 40%)

Instructions

  1. Peel the kiwi, pineapple, orange and lime and cut into slices. Wash the carambola and also cut into slices. Remove any kernels from the lime, orange and carambola. Cut the pineapple slices into large pieces, removing the hard inner stalk. Peel the physalis from the shells.
  2. Layer the fruits in a sealable jar. Sprinkle about 3 tablespoons of sugar every 3 cm of fruit. When all the fruits are covered with sugar in the glass, pour the rum over it.
  3. Seal the jar and place in a warm but dark place. Let it rest for at least a week. Then the rum pot can be served pure, with vanilla ice cream or with sparkling wine.
