Flavored Garlic Cakes

by Editorial Staff

I decided to show you a recipe for fragrant garlic cakes. Found it on a Bosnian forum. The products are ordinary, the shape is interesting, and the taste is favorite. πŸ™‚ The recipe is very simple, but I haven’t cooked cakes like that yet!

Flavored Garlic Cakes Ingredients

  • Sour cream – 300 ml
  • Eggs – 1 pcs.
  • Sugar – 1.5 teaspoon
  • Salt – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Dry yeast – 1 teaspoon
  • Flour – 500 g
  • Yolk – for greasing the dough

Flavored Garlic Cakes

For filling:

  • Garlic – 2 cloves
  • Fresh parsley (chopped) – 2-3 tbsp
  • Butter – 50 g

Flavored Garlic Cakes Instructions

  1. We send sugar and yeast to warm sour cream. Stir and let the yeast disperse – stand for a couple of minutes.
  2. Add salt to the flour, mix. We also send the egg and sour cream with yeast there. Knead the dough, cover with foil and let stand for 40-60 minutes.
  3. Lightly knead the finished dough and divide it into 8 parts (I got 105 g blanks). We roll each bun into a rectangular cake, and then roll it into a tight roll.

  4. Pull the ends of the blanks slightly. We give a distance of 10-15 minutes. During this time, we will prepare a shaving filling. We’ll need butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley.
  5. Add chopped parsley and chopped garlic to the melted butter. We cut each workpiece along its entire length. We send the filling into the resulting pocket and grease the dough with egg yolk.

  6. We bake garlic bread (garlic cakes) from yeast dough on sour cream in a preheated oven at 180-200 degrees for about 20 minutes.
  7. The dough is soft and very aromatic, the garlic filling with herbs soaked the bread well. An excellent recipe, an interesting replacement for the usual donuts!
