Ingredients

  • 800 g beef, lean
  • 100 g bacon, streaked
  • 2 onions)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • salt
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • liter ⅛ beer, dark
  • 0.5 liter ½ beef broth
  • 1 sprig parsley
  • 1 small bay leaf
  • thyme
  • sugar
  • Vinegar (red wine vinegar)

Instructions

  1. Cut the bacon into thin strips and leave in a large saucepan. Then remove from the liquid fat and set aside. Cut the meat into small cubes and fry vigorously in portions in the fat of the bacon. Also remove from the fat and keep warm. Peel the onion, cut into fine rings and also fry in the fat. Peel and cut the garlic into small pieces and add to the onions. Add the flour and deglaze with beer. Pour beef broth on top and let it boil down a little. Stir the bay leaf, parsley, thyme, sugar and vinegar into the sauce. Add the meat and bacon again and cook in the preheated oven at approx. 180 ° C for one hour.
  2. Serve with boiled potatoes.
