For a more pronounced taste, add lemon juice and Provencal herbs. It turns out to be an excellent independent dish for vegetable lovers or an addition to the main course.

Fried Celery Ingredients

  • Root celery – 500 g (0.5 pcs.)
  • Lemon – 0.25 pcs.
  • or lemon juice – 1 tbsp
  • Salt – 0.75 teaspoon
  • Ground black pepper – on the tip of a knife
  • Dried Provencal herbs – 0.25 teaspoon
  • Vegetable oil (for frying) – 1.5 tbsp
  • Green onions – 10 g (2 pcs.)

  1. Prepare foods on the list.

  2. Rinse the celery root, pat dry with a towel cut off the outer coarse part. Cut the peeled celery into cubes about 0.5 cm thick. Squeeze 1 tablespoon of the lemon quarter. a spoonful of juice. Pour the juice over the chopped celery, stir.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet and add chopped celery. Fry the celery over high, but not at maximum heat, stirring often, for about 7 minutes, until appetizing browning. Note that celery cooks very quickly!
  4. At the end of cooking, add salt, black pepper, and Provencal herbs, stir and remove from heat.
    Fried celery is ready!
  5. Top with chopped green onions when serving. Serve fried celery with juicy salads or sauces.
