Ingredients

  • 4 leg (s) (turkey legs, approx. 1.5 kg)
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 kg potato (s)
  • 1 bunch marjoram, alternatively also dried
  • 4 apples, red-skinned
  • 4 tablespoon honey
  • 4 tablespoon mustard, hotter
  • Fat for the drip pan

Instructions

  1. Wash the turkey drumsticks, pat dry and season with salt and pepper. Place the legs on the greased drip pan of the oven.
  2. Pre-cook in a preheated oven at 225 ° C for approx. 20 minutes. Turn after 10 minutes. Peel the potatoes and cut into wedges. Wash the marjoram, shake dry and pluck the leaves off. Set aside a few leaves for later sprinkling. Add the potatoes and marjoram to the turkey legs and season with salt. Turn the oven down to 200 ° C and continue cooking for approx. 30 to 40 minutes, turning the potatoes in between.
  3. Wash the apples, quarter them and remove the core. Cut the apples into wedges. Mix the honey and mustard together. 10 minutes before the end of the cooking time, coat the legs with the honey mixture and mix the apples with the potatoes.
  4. Arrange the turkey legs with apples and potatoes in a dish and serve sprinkled with fresh marjoram leaves.
