Ingredients

  • 500 g basmati
  • Clarified butter
  • 1 onion (s), diced
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 10 carnation (s), whole
  • 1 piece (s) cinnamon (approx. 8 cm tall)
  • 10 cardamom, whole
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 100 g raisins
  • 50 g almond (s), peeled
  • 1 liter water

Instructions

  1. Heat the clarified butter and sauté the onions and garlic. Then add the spices and after another minute add the rice and sauté briefly. Top up with water and salt and cook for 10-15 minutes or according to the instructions on the package. At the end of the cooking time, stir in the raisins and almonds.
  2. Goes well with all Indian meat or vegetable dishes and is especially popular with children.
