Ingredients

  • 2 kohlrabi
  • 400 g potato (s)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • salt and pepper
  • Nutmeg, freshly grated
  • 3 egg (s)
  • 250 g cream
  • 150 g cheese (Emmentaler), freshly rated
  • Butter, for the mold

Instructions

  1. Peel the kohlrabi and potatoes and cut into thin slices. Peel and halve the garlic clove, finely chop one half. Rub an ovenproof dish with half a clove of garlic, then grease the dish with butter.
  2. Preheat the oven to 180 °.
  3. Whisk the eggs with the cream and cheese in a bowl, mix in the chopped garlic. Season the mixture with salt, pepper and nutmeg and pour over the vegetables. Cook in a hot oven (center, fan oven 160 °) for about 40 minutes.
  4. If the surface of the gratin turns brown, cover with aluminum foil.
