Ingredients

  • 2 packs puff pastry, (rolls)
  • 500 g meat loaf (red or white)
  • 250 g cheese, sliced (e.. Gouda)
  • 100 g salami
  • 200 g ham, cooked
  • 3 bell pepper (s), (red, yellow and green)
  • 150 g mushrooms, fresh
  • 2 cloves garlic)
  • pepper
  • Chilli powder
  • Seasonal herbs (e.g. wild garlic, chives)
  • 1 piece (s) egg yolk
  • some cream

Instructions

  1. Press the two puff pastry rolls together on the long side. Spread half of the meat loaf and top with the cheese. Then spread the second half of the sausage meat and cover with salami and ham.
  2. Chop the peppers, mushrooms and garlic clove. Sauté briefly in a little olive oil and pour onto the strudel. Sprinkle herbs and spices on top. Roll up the strudel and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  3. Mix the egg yolks with a little cream and brush the strudel with it.
  4. Bake the strudel in the preheated oven at 200 degrees for about 45 minutes.
