Ingredients

  • 350 g lentils
  • 1 small onion (s)
  • 1 tablespoon margarine
  • 2 tablespoon flour
  • 50 g tomato paste
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoon vinegar, wine vinegar
  • some parsley
  • 4 pairs sausages (strings)
  • 4 port. spaetzle

Instructions

  1. Cook the lentils according to the instructions on the packet.
  2. Sweat the flour in the margarine until light brown, then sweat the finely chopped onion with it and gradually stir in the lentil stock and some vegetable stock with the whisk until a smooth, creamy sauce is formed. Stir in tomato paste, vinegar, salt and pepper, bring to the boil and season to taste. Then add the lentils and season again. Scatter some finely chopped parsley on top.
  3. Warm the string sausages in the lentils or in a water bath.
  4. There is also spaetzle.
