Ingredients

  • 1 small lettuce (s)
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 small onion (s), finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 400 ml vegetable stock
  • 200 g peas, frozen
  • 200 g cream or cremefine
  • salt
  • Chilli powder

Instructions

  1. Wash the lettuce leaves well and let them drain. Heat the oil in a saucepan and sauté the onion and garlic in it. Deglaze with broth.
  2. Add the peas to the broth and simmer gently for 5 minutes. Cut the lettuce leaves into small pieces and add. Let simmer for another 2 minutes.
  3. Pour the cream into the soup and puree everything finely with the hand blender. Season to taste with salt and chili powder. Briefly heat the soup again and serve.
  4. I like the soup best with fried ham or bacon and homemade croutons.
