Ingredients

  • 16 cl vodka
  • 800 ml ginger ale
  • 0.5 ½ cucumber (s)
  • 1 stalk mint or lemon balm
  • 1 lime (s), sliced
  • Ice cubes
  • possibly lime juice

Instructions

  1. Peel the cucumber so that you get a striped pattern. Or just leave it unpeeled and just wash. Cut into slices or cut lengthways into eighths so that you get sticks (approx. 8-10 cm long). Fill glasses with ice cubes, pour in 4 cl vodka each and pour 200 ml ginger ale on each. Add 3-4 cucumber slices (or sticks) and a slice of lime. Garnish with mint or lemon balm if necessary. If you like, you can also add lime juice.
  2. This aperitif is always a must for us at every celebration. Afterwards, I always put all the ingredients down so that everyone can help themselves, because usually there is never just one per guest. I don`t make this cocktail with ginger beer like the original, because it`s just too hot for me and doesn`t taste that good.
