- 2 bottles wine, lovely
- 1 orange (s), untreated
- 1 lemon (s), untreated
- 5 cardamom pods
- 2 sticks cinnamon
- 10 clove (s)
- 3 cm ginger root
- Sugar, brown
- rum

- Warm the wine in a large saucepan. Peel the ginger and cut into thin slices. Cut the orange and lemon into slices. Pour everything into the wine. Cut the cardamom pods at the top and place in a paper tea filter with the remaining spices. Hang this in the pot.
- If the heat is low (the wine must not boil) let it steep for at least 30 minutes. Then add the sugar to taste and add a little rum if you like.
