Mushroom Filling

Incredibly delicious mushroom filling – ideal for pies, pies, dumplings, etc. You can add it to soups or stews as a dressing, or serve this mushroom dish as a side dish.

Ingredients

  • Champignon mushrooms – 400 g
  • White onion, medium – 1 pc.
  • Garlic – 1 clove
  • Fresh thyme – a couple of twigs
  • Dry white wine – 2 tbsp
  • Olive oil – 3 tbsp
  • Butter – 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste

Directions

  1. Prepare all the ingredients you need to make the mushroom filling.
  2. Chop the onion and garlic finely.
  3. Heat olive oil in a frying pan, mix with butter. Lightly fry the onion and garlic over low heat. The onion should become transparent and sweet.
  4. While the onions are fried, peel the mushroom caps.
  5. Chop the mushrooms very finely, but not into crumbs.
  6. Add the mushrooms to the onions, cover the skillet with a lid, and cook over low heat until all the water has evaporated.
  7. Add wine, thyme to the ready-made mushrooms, salt the filling and pepper. Cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  8. Transfer the hot mushrooms to a deep bowl.
  9. The mushroom filling is ready. Just defrost the finished puff pastry and bake the quiche or puffs. Very simple, fast and delicious!
