New Potatoes, Baked in a Bag, with Onions

Young potatoes, baked in a bag, are saturated with the aroma of onions, herbs, and spices, so it turns out to be very tasty and aromatic. Soft and tender baked potatoes melt in your mouth!

Ingredients

  • Young potatoes – 800 g
  • Onions – 200 g
  • Bay leaf – 2 pcs.
  • Vegetable oil – 80 ml
  • Fresh dill – 1 small bunch
  • Salt – about 1 teaspoon with a slight slide (to taste)
  • Sugar – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Ground paprika – 1 teaspoon
  • Rosemary – 1 small pinch (1/10 teaspoon)
  • Pepper mixture – 3/4 teaspoon
  • Ground nutmeg – 1/4 teaspoon
  • Granular garlic – 1 teaspoon
  • or fresh garlic – 2-3 cloves

Directions

  1. We prepare products for cooking young potatoes baked in a bag. It is better to choose small potato tubers, approximately the same size.
  2. Peel the potatoes, wash them. Prick medium-sized potatoes in several places with a toothpick. If the potatoes are small, then the punctures can be omitted.
  3. Peel the onions, wash and cut into thin feathers or half rings. Put the onion in a bowl of potatoes.
  4. Add salt to potatoes and onions and mix thoroughly with your hands.
  5. Add paprika, rosemary, pepper mixture, nutmeg, garlic and sugar to the vegetable oil.
  6. Fill the potatoes with onions with oil and spices. Stir and leave for 15 minutes.
  7. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees, put the potatoes (along with the marinade) in a baking bag, add the bay leaf. We tie the bag, make about 10 punctures in the upper part of the bag in different places for air to escape.
  8. We send a bag of potatoes to the oven and bake at 200 degrees. Roasting time from 40 minutes to 1 hour (depending on the size of the potatoes).
  9. We cut the package. Put the baked potatoes with onions on a plate and sprinkle with chopped dill. Young potatoes baked in the oven can be served as a side dish or separately, for example, with lightly salted cucumbers.
