Ingredients
- 1 cube yeast or 2 packs dry yeast
- 60 ml water, lukewarm
- 225 ml milk, hot
- 70 g suar
- 0.5 teaspoon ½ salt
- 70 g fat
- 2 egg (s), beaten
- 700 g flour
- 130 g oat flakes, tender or hearty

- Dissolve the yeast in lukewarm water (dry yeast can be added to the flour).
- Pour hot milk over sugar, salt and fat, stirring occasionally until the fat has melted. Let the mixture cool down until it is lukewarm.
- Stir in whisked eggs and approx. 120 g flour; Add the dissolved yeast and oat flakes. Continue adding flour, enough to make a soft dough.
- Place the dough on a floured work surface and knead until a smooth, supple dough is formed (approx. 10 minutes).
- Shape the dough into a ball, place in an oiled bowl, brush lightly with melted fat and cover and let rise in a warm place for approx. 1 hour (volume should have doubled).
- Knead the dough together to its original size, cover, and let rest for another 10 minutes.
- Shape the dough into a loaf and place in one large or two small greased loaf pan (rectangular cake pan or 2 loaf pan of approx. 22 x 11.5 x 6 cm). Brush the surface lightly with melted fat, cover and let rise until almost twice the size (approx. 45 min).
- Bake in the preheated oven at approx. 190 ° for about 45 to 50 minutes; Remove from the mold, brush with melted butter, leave to cool.
