Ingredients

  • 4 oranges, peeled and filleted
  • 4 tablespoon orange liqueur
  • 12 macaroons, crumbled
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 250 ml orange juice, freshly squeezed
  • 50 g lemon juice
  • 200 g water
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 2 tablespoon cornstarch (e.g. corn maize), approx.
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 4 tablespoon desiccated coconut
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar

Instructions

  1. Drizzle the crumbled coconut macaroons with orange liqueur and divide into 4 dessert bowls. Spread the filleted orange slices on top.
  2. Separate the egg and beat the egg white until stiff, then stir in the egg yolks.
  3. Bring the orange juice, lemon juice, water and sugar to the boil. Remove the pan from the heat and fold the egg with a whisk. Then add the cornstarch while stirring constantly and bring to the boil again briefly. The aim is to create a cream (hence the approximate figure for cornstarch).
  4. Let the cream cool down. Then distribute over the oranges in the dessert glasses.
  5. Beat the cream with the vanilla sugar until stiff, then stir in the desiccated coconut.
  6. Pour coconut cream on the orange cream and put everything in the fridge for at least 1/2 hour.
