“Piquant” Snack Cabbage with Pepper

I want to share a recipe for a delicious, crispy and juicy cabbage. Snack cabbage with pepper is very good for meat, and for barbecue so in general, two native dishes!
Ingredients
- Cabbage – 1 kg
- Bulgarian pepper – 1 pc.
- Chili pepper – 1 pc.
- Carrots – 1 pc. (large)
- Garlic – 3 teeth.
Marinade:
- Water – 0.5 cups
- Vegetable oil – 0.5 cups
- Sugar – 100-120 g
- Salt – 1 tbsp (no slide)
- Black peppercorns – 3-5 pcs.
- Apple cider vinegar – 0.5 cups
- Lemon – 0.5 pcs.
Directions
- Chop the white cabbage, chop the chili into slices (remove the seeds!), Chop the bell pepper into thin strips, grate the carrots on a coarse grater (you can use a thin Korean grater).
- Mash the cabbage with your hands a little, add the rest of the vegetables, squeeze out the garlic, mix everything.
- Now the marinade.
- Pour 0.5 cups of water + 0.5 cups of vegetable oil + 100-120 g of sugar + 1 tablespoon into a saucepan. l. salt (without a slide) + 3-5 peas of black pepper. Bring to a boil, add 0.5 cups of apple cider vinegar and 1/2 lemon juice.
- Bring the marinade to a boil, pour the vegetables over with the hot marinade, cover with a plate corresponding to the dia of the dish in which the cabbage will be marinated (better enameled), put pressure.
- Withstand one day at room temperature (in a slightly cool place).
- Then transfer to a jar – and into the refrigerator. Leave to cool completely.
