Ingredients

  • 900 g flour (wheat flour)
  • 100 g spelled, crushed
  • 40 g yeast
  • 750 ml water, lukewarm
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 medium onion (s)
  • 200 g bacon, diced
  • 200 g cheese, rated
  • basil

Instructions

  1. Make a yeast dough from wheat flour, spelled meal, yeast, salt and water. Let rise for 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Grease the baking sheet and dust with flour.
  2. Cut two medium-sized onions into small cubes and sauté until translucent. Add 200g bacon cubes and fry them briefly. Add the onions, bacon, 200g grated cheese and basil to the cooked yeast dough.
  3. Take a snowball-sized amount of dough and stretch it out - about 8 inches long. Brush the souls with water with a brush. Bake at 200 degrees until golden brown. Serve lukewarm with butter.
