Polenta With Feta Cheese

A delicious dish made from ordinary corn grits. It is easy and quick to prepare.

Ingredients

  • Corn grits – 200 g
  • Salt – 1 teaspoon
  • Butter – 60 g
  • Hard cheese – 150 g
  • Sheep cheese or cow cheese – 100 g

Directions

  1. Boil 1 liter of water with oil and salt. Gradually, stirring in, add corn grits. We will cook for 15 minutes on low heat. Do not forget to interfere.
  2. Add grated cheese 5 minutes before cooking.
  3. Lay the hot polenta in an even layer 1 cm thick on a baking sheet covered with parchment. Smooth with a wooden spatula moistened with water. Let’s cool down.
  4. Using the cookie cutter, cut out stars (flowers, hearts) from the polenta.
  5. Sprinkle the stars with feta cheese and put them in the microwave for a couple of minutes to warm up. You can put the stars on a baking sheet and preheat in the oven.
    Polenta stars are delicious as a stand-alone dish and serve as a great side dish for stews.
