Puffs with Pumpkin and Walnuts

Puffs with pumpkin and walnuts are delicious. For those who do not know what to cook with pumpkin, I suggest such a simple and very simple baking. Ready-made puff pastry is used. For the filling, grated pumpkin, chopped walnuts and sugar are mixed. Such puffs with pumpkin and nuts will be the first to fly off the table, you just have to serve hot coffee or tea.

Ingredients

  • Yeast-free puff pastry – 300 g
  • Pumpkin – 200 g
  • Walnuts – 80 g
  • Sugar – 1 tbsp
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Powdered sugar (optional) – to tasteTurn on the oven to heat up to 180 degrees.
    Roll out the puff pastry to a thickness of about 0.3-0.4 mm.

Directions

  1. Prepare all ingredients. Defrost the puff pastry beforehand.
  2. Prepare the filling. Peel the pumpkin and grate it on a coarse grater.
  3. Finely chop the walnuts with a knife.
  4. Place the pumpkin in a convenient container and add the nuts.
  5. Add sugar.
  6. Stir. The filling is ready.
  7. Turn on the oven to heat up to 180 degrees. Roll out the puff pastry to a thickness of about 0.3-0.4 mm.
  8. Cut the dough into 7×10 cm rectangles.
  9. Use a knife to make triangular cuts in the corners of each rectangle (as shown).
  10. Place 1-1.5 teaspoons of the filling in the center of each dough rectangle.

  12. First, pull the two upper corners of the dough to the center, press lightly.
  13. Then pull up the edges on the opposite side and join all 4 edges well in the center.
  14. In this way, pinch all the puffs.
  15. Put the puffs on a baking sheet, brush with a beaten egg and send to the oven preheated to 180 degrees.
  16. Bake the puffs for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.
  17. Cool the finished puffs with pumpkin and nuts and serve. Sprinkle icing sugar on the puffs if you like.
