  • 2 points dry yeast
  • 300 ml water
  • 200 g processed herb cheese
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 600 grams flour
  • 100 g butter
  • 1 packet soup (onion soup gourmet style)

Instructions

  1. Prepare a smooth yeast dough from dry yeast, water, processed herb cheese, sugar, salt and flour and cover and let rise to double size in a warm place. Knead the butter with the onion soup, gourmet style. Roll out the yeast dough into a rectangle measuring 50 x 30 cm and brush with the butter and onion soup mixture. Roll up the dough from the narrow side. Halve the roll lengthways, place with the cut side up on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and let rise for approx. 20 minutes. Bake in the preheated oven at approx. 200 ° C top / bottom heat for approx. 25 minutes. Serve hot or cold. The onion bread is easy to freeze and bake again.
