- 200 g fried onions
- 500 ml buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar

- Sift 500 g flour into a bowl and make a well. Mix 1 cube of fresh yeast with 1 teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon sugar (the yeast becomes liquid), add this to the flour. Add 0.5 liters of warm buttermilk and 200 g of fried onions, mix everything with a wooden spoon and pour into a greased loaf pan.
- Let stand for about half an hour and then put in the preheated oven. Bake for about 50 minutes at 170 ° C. It is best to serve it lukewarm and serve with fresh herb butter.
