Ingredients

  • 1 packet custard powder, vanilla
  • 40 g suar
  • 250 g quark, (20% fat)
  • 200 g whipped cream
  • 2 medium egg (s)

Instructions

  1. Grease the bottom of a springform pan. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C.
  2. Poppy topping:
  3. Bring milk to a boil in a saucepan. Add the poppy seeds, sugar and vanilla sugar while stirring and cook while stirring for 5 minutes without a lid. Take the saucepan off the stove and stir in the butter and egg after 5 minutes.
  4. Crumble dough:
  5. Mix the flour and baking powder in a mixing bowl, add the remaining ingredients and use the hand mixer to make fine sprinkles. ¾ Distribute the crumble in the springform pan and press down to form a smooth base.
  6. Quark topping:
  7. Mix the pudding powder with sugar, mix with the quark, cream and eggs with a whisk to a smooth mass.
  8. Spread 2/3 of the poppy seed mixture on the floor, smooth the quark mixture over it. Scatter the remaining crumbles. Spread the remaining poppy seed mixture in small portions on the crumble with a teaspoon. Put the mold on the wire rack in the oven for about 45 minutes.
  9. Let the cake stand in the switched off oven for about 10 minutes. Remove any stuck topping from the edge with a table knife. Let the cake cool in the tin for about 30 minutes on a wire rack, then loosen and remove the springform rim, allow the cake to cool.

  11. * For the poppy seed filling, instead of the self-made poppy seed filling, you can also use 1 pack (250 g) of ready-to-bake poppy seed filling, which no longer needs to be cooked.
