Ingredients

  • 170 g butter or mararine
  • 200 g suar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 5 medium egg (s), separated
  • 220 g flour

  • 3 tablespoon milk

  • 4 medium egg whites
  • 200 g suar
  • 200 g currants, (currants)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven (180 ° C top / bottom heat).
  2. Beat the butter, sugar and vanilla sugar until frothy, stir in the egg yolks. Then mix in the flour mixed with baking powder and the milk alternately. Beat the egg whites (with a pinch of salt) until stiff and fold in. Spread the dough on a greased baking sheet and bake for about 20-25 minutes until it is nice and brown.
  3. In the meantime, beat the 4 egg whites until stiff, stir in the sugar and carefully fold in the currants. Take the pre-baked dough out of the oven and carefully distribute the snow mass on it. Now bake in the oven at 140 ° C for about 20 minutes. The mass of snow should only turn light brown.
