Rhubarb Crumble

Crumble is a casserole pie made from juicy berry or fruit filling and crumbly crumbs. I suggest using rhubarb as a filling. It is a seasonal product with a characteristic sweet and sour taste.

Ingredients

  • Flour – 1 Glass
  • Vegetable Spread – 1/2 Cup
  • Sugar – 1 Cup (1/2 cup – for crumbs, 1/2 cup – for filling)
  • Lemon zest – 1 Teaspoon
  • Rhubarb – 700-800 Grams
  • Corn starch – 1 Art. the spoon
  • Lemon juice – 1 Tbsp. the spoon

Directions

  1. Prepare all ingredients. Preheat oven to 190 degrees.
  2. Combine the vegetable spread, flour, sugar, and lemon zest in a bowl. Rub into crumbs with your hands.
  3. Wash the rhubarb, chop and mix with sugar, starch, lemon juice and a pinch of salt.
  4. Transfer the rhubarb to a baking dish and sprinkle with crumbs on top. Bake the crumble for 40 minutes, until the crust is golden brown. Then remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes.
