Rice with Chicken in Indian Style

Indian cuisine is famous for its abundance of spices and seasonings. I propose a recipe for cooking rice with chicken, which is quite suitable for Europeans. The dish is aromatic, moderately spicy, satisfying and tasty.

Ingredients

  • Chicken fillet – 350 Grams
  • Rice – 1 Glass
  • Natural yogurt – 100 Grams
  • Ginger Root – 5 Grams
  • Garlic – 1 Clove
  • Tomato paste – 1 tablespoon the spoon
  • Salt – To taste
  • Ground black pepper – To taste
  • Ground red pepper – 1 Pinch
  • Turmeric – 0.25 Teaspoons
  • Curry – 0.25 Teaspoons
  • Onion – 1 Piece
  • Butter – 20 grams

Directions

  1. Prepare the chicken marinade. Put natural yogurt in a bowl.
  2. Add chopped garlic and ginger root.
  3. Season to taste and curry.
  4. And also ground red pepper, ground black pepper, tomato paste.
  5. Stir the marinade.
  6. Wash the chicken breast and cut into strips. Place in the marinade.
  7. Stir the chicken with the marinade and let stand for an hour and a half, at least, but longer.
  8. Lightly fry the chopped onion in butter until transparent.
  9. Then add the chicken and the sauce to the skillet.
  10. Simmer the chicken, stirring for 7-8 minutes.
  11. Wash the rice thoroughly and cover with hot water for an hour. After that, drain the water, and put the rice in the pan on the chicken. Pour in hot, boiled water so that it is 1-1.5 centimeters higher than the rice. Add turmeric and salt to taste.
  12. Cover the skillet with a lid and cook the chicken and rice for 25-30 minutes over low heat.
  13. Rice with chicken in Indian is ready.

Serve with vegetables.
