Ingredients

  • 1 kg potato (s)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 200 g processed cheese
  • 200 g cream
  • 125 ml milk
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable stock
  • 1 pinch (s) nutmeg
  • salt and pepper
  • 150 g Gouda or Emmentaler, rated
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. Peel the potatoes and cut into thin slices. Brush a large baking dish with a little butter. Place half of the potato slices in the baking dish. Set the rest aside. Press the garlic and spread it over the potatoes.
  2. Put the processed cheese, cream, milk, broth, nutmeg, salt and pepper in a bowl and mix well. Spread half of the cream mixture in the baking dish. Now put the remaining potato slices in the baking dish and distribute the remaining cream mixture on top.
  3. Finally, cover everything with the grated cheese.
  4. Bake for 60 min at 180 - 200 degrees top / bottom heat in a preheated oven until golden brown. If the cheese gets too dark, cover with aluminum foil.
