Instructions

  1. Grind the sage, olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper and lemon zest to a paste.
  2. This herb paste can be eaten with gnocchi, pasta and rice. It is also nice to rub grilled meat or roast meat with it. Baked potatoes are also very tasty with it.
  3. Rosemary or similar herbs can also be used for the paste. Or a mixture of sage and rosemary, for example.
  4. If a side dish (gnocchi, pasta ) is eaten as the only main course, the amount should be doubled for 4 people.
  5. If there is a residue, the paste is poured into a screw-top jar and stored in the refrigerator. The sage seasoning paste can also be used as a basis for sauces and dressings.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
