Saltwater Fish with Coconut Milk, Chili and Green Beans Sauce

Before frying, the fish fillet is sprinkled with a mixture of aromatic spices. For the fish, prepare coconut sauce with red hot peppers and green beans according to this recipe.

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • Cornstarch – 1 tbsp
  • Cayenne pepper – 1-2 teaspoon (taste)
  • Paprika – 1 teaspoon
  • Ground cinnamon – 1 teaspoon
  • Ground coriander – 1 teaspoon
  • Haddock, cod, or salmon fillet – 4 pcs. (175 g each)
  • Coconut milk (sugar free) – 1 can (400 ml)
  • Chili pepper, fresh, red – 1 pc.
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Fish sauce (optional) – to taste
  • Sugar (optional) – a pinch
  • Green beans, fresh – 175 g
  • Salt
  • Ground black pepper

Directions

  1. Stir in cornstarch, cayenne pepper, wig, cinnamon, and coriander. Season the fish with salt, pepper and sprinkle thoroughly with the prepared spice mixture.
  2. Pour the coconut milk into a saucepan, add the seeded and finely chopped chili. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, add lime juice, some fish sauce, and sugar. Stir in green beans and simmer for about 5 minutes.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over high heat. Fry the fish until golden brown on both sides (about 10 minutes).
  4. Place fish in coconut sauce and serve hot or serve separately.
