Ingredients

  • 2 kg zucchini
  • 2 bell peppers, green
  • 2 red pepper (s)
  • 3 onion (s)
  • 45 g salt
  • 400 g suar
  • 0.5 liter ½ vinegar, milder
  • 0.5 liter ½ water
  • 2 teaspoons mustard seeds
  • 2 teaspoons turmeric

Instructions

  1. Peel the zucchini, cut in half or quarter lengthways, core and cut into small pieces. Cut the bell pepper into strips and the onions into half rings.
  2. Mix the vegetables with the remaining ingredients and let stand for a few hours. Then boil for 3 minutes and pour into glasses while hot.
  3. The turmeric gives the salad a special taste and a beautiful color. The salad is suitable as an accompaniment to all dishes that go well with spicy, pickled vegetables or salads, for example as a grill side dish.
